Abstract
Tendinopathy is a common injury caused by overuse and characterized by microtears in the tendon. Because of poor blood supply, tendon repair tends to be prolonged and can be debilitating. In general, these injuries heal spontaneously over time with supportive measures and avoidance of aggravating activities, but stretching and strengthening exercises may help with healing, function, and prevention of future injury.
