Abstract
Monoarticular arthritis has many possible etiologies, ranging from minor but distressing to joint-threatening. It is important for a clinician to understand the possible etiologies, know the pertinent historical features and physical examinations findings associated with each, and be comfortable with the techniques required to confirm the diagnosis.
