Abstract
Phimosis is the inability to retract the foreskin of the penis over the glans of the penis, while paraphimosis occurs when a tight foreskin cannot be replaced into its normal position after it is retracted behind the glans. Both pose medical concerns that may need to be dealt with emergently.
