Treating frostbite injuries of upper extremity. After initial resuscitation and rewarming, clinical assessment of injury severity is made. Triple-phase bone scan is performed in deep injuries at 48 hours and repeated 72 hours later if no flow is seen in delayed images. Vascularized tissue transfer is performed if patient is candidate for salvage.
