Separated position of two tendon ends in distal palm after flexor tendon interruption and proximal retraction. Profundus must be correctly positioned in sublimis hiatus before passing tendons distally into digit. Anatomic relationship of profundus and sublimis tendon stumps must be reestablished so that they can be correctly repaired to corresponding distal tendon stumps. In some cases, profundus must be passed back through hiatus created by sublimis slips to lie palmar to Camper chiasma and to recreate position of tendons at level of tendon laceration.
