Angles permissible in performing Z-plasties. Angles that central limb of Z make with each of other two limbs should be between 45 and 60 degrees. When angles are less than 45 degrees, blood supply to flap is impaired; when they are more than 60 degrees, flaps cannot be transposed without severe tension.
