Repair of complete radial tear of lateral meniscus. Note that first vertical mattress suture approximates meniscal fragments. Later, more vertical mattress sutures are added to suture posterior aspect of capsule. At least two vertical mattress sutures are placed and often a third “stacked” vertical mattress suture is necessary.
