A, Large cavitary deficiencies in 85-year-old woman with acetabular loosening 18 years after primary cemented arthroplasty. Large superior and medial cavitary deficiencies combined with poor bone stock. Fixation is unlikely with conventional porous-coated implants. B, Extensive bone grafting with cancellous allograft combined with antiprotrusio cage. Implant is stable at 2 years, and bone graft is incorporated. SEE TECHNIQUE 3.23.
