Effects of head size and neck geometry on range of motion. A, Changing from 28-mm head (light shading) to 32-mm head (dark shading) results in 8-degree increase in flexion before impingement. B, Large circular taper has dramatically decreased range of motion to impingement (dark shading), which is diminished even further by having skirted modular head (light shading).
